THE ALGORITHMIC MAJORITIES PROJECT
We envision technological futures grounded in the majority world — shaped not by a handful of corporations or nations, but by the diverse communities, knowledges, and lived realities too often excluded from technological power. Through research, advocacy, and storytelling, we build connections across geographies and communities, amplify local knowledge, and confront urgent technological harms, while collectively reimagining and co-creating desirable futures.
We acknowledge and confront the disparate impacts of technology and work to transform technological systems to redistribute power and resources.
We support individuals and communities in shaping, governing, and challenging the technologies that affect their lives, on their own terms.
We promote and facilitate collective action to support the aspirations, needs, and efforts of majority-world communities, standing with them in resisting technological harms and co-creating desirable alternatives.
We embrace diverse perspectives and knowledges, resisting singular definitions or narratives of "technological progress."
